Charlotte Dentist Receives AGD Fellowship Award
Charlotte (6/26/15)—The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is pleased to announce that Greg Reece, DMD, FAGD, of Charlotte , NC received the association’s Fellowship Award during the AGD 2015 annual meeting, which took place June 18 to 21 in San Francisco.
The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current in their profession. To earn this prestigious honor, Dr. Reece completed over 500 hours of dental continuing education, passed a comprehensive written exam an fulfilled at least three years of continuous membership in the AGD.
As a Fellowship Award recipient, Dr. Reece joins only 6,600 Fellows who have gone above and beyond the basic requirements to care for their patients’oral health.
“We are proud to honor Dr. Reece for his commitment in reaching this lofty goal,”says AGD immediate past president W. Carter Brown, DMD, FAGD. “He has distinguished himself professionally among his peers and is a role model for both his fellow dentist and the Charlotte community.
Dr. Reece graduated from MUSC in 2010 and proceeded to complete a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He practices at Dentistry of the Queen City in Charlotte where he lives with his wife, Tessa and their son, Avett.
- Dr. Reece was chosen as one of “Charlotte‘s Top Dentists” based on peer review by other dental professionals in the Charlotte area. He will be featured in the November Issue of Charlotte Magazine.

- Both Dr. Reece and Dr. Johnston took time to volunteer at the free dental clinic the NC Mission of Mercy puts on every year here in Charlotte. The program provides free dental care to anyone who wishes to come and get it. The Charlotte dental community saw more than 2000 patients and provided them with more than $1,000,000 worth of dentistry. If you are interested more can be read here.

- Dr. Reece was awarded his Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOI). The ICOI is the worlds largest dental implant organization. This award is given to dentist that complete 75 hours of continuing education as well as documenting completed cases of both implant placement and restoration.
