For Dr. Greg Reece, exceptional dentistry begins with taking the time to understand each patient’s concerns, goals, and overall oral health. His approach to general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry goes beyond treating an individual tooth. Dr. Reece believes in thoughtful diagnosis, clear communication, and careful planning. His goal as a restorative and cosmetic dentist is to achieve results that look natural, function comfortably, and last.
Dr. Greg Reece is a North Carolina native who was raised in Clemmons, NC. He completed his undergraduate work in Chemistry at the University of South Carolina in 2006. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, earning the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Reece then completed the prestigious Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program in St. Petersburg, FL associated with the University of Florida College of Dentistry in June of 2011.
Training and Experience
During his training, Dr. Reece was introduced to the Dawson Academy and adopted the philosophy of Complete Dental Care. This approach considers how the teeth, bite, jaw joints, and facial muscles work together. He focuses on a thorough exam before treatment so your restorative or cosmetic results last.
Dr. Reece went on to complete the Dawson curriculum and later helped teach and mentor other dentists pursuing the same advanced training.
In addition to his residency, Dr. Reece completed a 9-month implant training to earn a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI).
Memberships and Continuing Education
Continuing education remains an important part of Dr. Reece’s practice. He regularly seeks opportunities to learn from respected clinicians and educators. Then he uses his experience to incorporate proven techniques, materials, and technology into patient care. His goal isn’t simply to offer the newest treatment, but to recommend the right treatment and provide the best possible long-term outcomes for each patient.
Dr. Reece also met the rigorous requirements to earn a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). Dr. Reece is a member of the American Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Charlotte Dental Society.
He is also a member of several study clubs, including the Queen City Study Club, is a Dawson Alumni member, and founded the Two Mountains Study Club.
Giving Back and Volunteering
Dr. Reece is an ongoing volunteer with Donated Dental Services. This Dental Lifeline Network program provides comprehensive dental care to people with disabilities, older adults, and others who cannot otherwise access needed treatment.
Dr. Reece has also provided free dental care to the community at the NCMOM’s dental event here in Charlotte, Give Kids a Smile Day, and the Urban Crisis Ministry Dental Van.
Personal Life
In his spare time, Dr. Reece enjoys spending time with his wife, Tessa, and their three children. He also enjoys being outside as much as possible when he’s not in his Charlotte dental office.
